Wigginton Local Directory
Groups and Clubs
Wigginton WI isn’t just about baking and making jam. As well as our monthly meetings with speakers we walk, read books and plays, go to films and theatres, hold craft afternoons and meet for lunch. We take part in village events and raise money for local charities.
We organise local visits to places like an alpaca farm, Amazon’s fulfillment centre and Luton’s last hat factory, and outings further afield such as behind the scenes visits to Wimbledon and the Albert Hall.
Most of all our WI is a great way to meet local people. It’s supportive and fun. And there are plenty of opportunities for baking and making jam if you want to!
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month, 7.30pm at Wigginton Village Hall. Come along or contact Sue Hexter.
Films are shown once a month in the Village Hall from September through to April inclusive.
Annual membership, to cover the cost of the film licence, is £2.00 and we ask for a donation of £5 per film, which includes one free drink (coke /lemonade /wine /beer /and cocktails occasionally!) and unlimited tea and coffee.
Doors open at 7.30pm so you can enjoy a drink and snack before the film starts at 8 pm.
